Paintings that My Father Painted
It still amazes me after all these years that my father, Edgar Turner was such a fine artist who painted with oils. He did not gain glory for his talents in his time but the memories are always real. His work is timeless. He enjoyed painting portraits most of all, yet he could paint any subject. He did many scenes from beautiful locations in Virginia. He enjoyed "copying" from the Masters, such as Da Vinci. His painting of Mona Lisa is so realistic that it looks exactly like the original that he looked at from a small reference book. He had no tricks or gimmicks to help him paint. He painted up until his 80's. He passed away at 93, with painting still on his mind, I can assure you.
