My name is Natalie Manuel and Animus Photography is my collection of multi-award winning animal photographs.
I chose the name Animus Photography to represent the intention and themes of my work. Animus/Anima refers to an idea by psychologist Carl Jung. The anima and animus are the male and female expressions of the true inner personality and self of an individual within the unconscious mind. As my photography focuses on the individuality of each animal rather than just the species, the name just fit.
My work has been awarded Silver awards at the Australian Professional Photography Awards run by the AIPP, published locally and internationally and exhibited in the USA.
