A cliché is a cliché because it reflects time-tested truth. Such is the cliché of the artist as freedom and the expression of freedom. I am defined by my freedom to express my humanity -- my mind, soul, and consciousness -- in the environment of the human condition.
I've been a professional artist -- painter, sculptor, poet, and lyricist -- since 1988. My canvas is life and my medium is life's dialectic: life-death, joy-pain, gain-loss, self-others, love-hate, good-evil, ying-yang.
This manifests itself into styles of thick oil using broad brush and knife strokes and crafting tightly-woven poems and musical lyrics.
