Waterscapes Waterfalls Lakes Coastal Maine and New Hampshire Photography

Flowing water, abstract, waterfalls, close-ups, reflections, and frozen Ice, and more. Maine has many lakes and streams, ponds, and a few waterfalls. The state has over 6,000 lakes and ponds. Sebago Lake is the deepest and second largest lake (after Moosehead Lake). Moosehead itself has more than 400 miles of shoreline to roam if you’re fishing on foot. If you’re in a boat, the western central part of the lake has the deepest holes, some in more than 200 feet of water. Kennebec River flows 170 miles in the state, but the upper section is most notably known for its great fly fishing. It is here that the brook trout. The Androscoggin takes an unusual path, beginning on the western state border in Umbagog Lake, flowing through New Hampshire, then returning to Maine and flowing southeast through the state into Merrymeeting Bay. Maine also boasts a long coast along the Atlantic Ocean and the Bay of Fundy with over 3500 miles of indescribably beautiful coastline. Maine's shoreline has many sandy beaches and rocky shorelines, with bays, coves and Acadia National Park. Also, some of these images are taken in New Hampshire. NH is home to more than 100 waterfalls. The rivers and streams that crisscross New Hampshire frequently take a tumble thanks to the mountainous terrain.
