Tribes is a legendary non-profit organization that has been a part of the Lower East Side community for twenty years. The owner, Steve Cannon, is ironically blind, and opened it as a publishing house. Tribes was conceived as a venue for underexposed artists, as well as a networking center and locus for the development of new talent.
