The print is much darker in person. It looks like an underexposed photo and hard to make out any detail on the bottom half of the print. Paper quality is good. Fast shipping.

A haunted house stands on a bluff overlooking the sea, a black cat in the window. The full moon casts an eerie purple glow over the scene, illuminating the family cemetery next to the house, its wrought iron fence fallen into disrepair. A raven sitting on a rock catches the attention of the ghost of Lenore as she makes her way towards the house up the wet path, shimmering from the rain. Lightning bolts lance through the clouds as another raven soars through the night. Inspired by both Poe's "The Raven" and the haunting beauty of the Carmel seaside.
About Laura Iverson
I have been painting most of my life. Much of my inspiration comes from the beautiful natural landscape of the wst coast...the woods, the ocean, the rolling hills, the native wildflowers and wildlife. Even the surreal tree branches in the Zen series are often taken from the gnarled old oak trees I see on my walks. Other inspirations include teapots (I love tea) and animals, especially cats.
