I loved the card. Message inside was perfect (just like I requested) Only comment - the picture seemed too large for the card (glue showing on the side) Next time I will down size the picture. I have ordered many cards from fineartamerica and have been very pleased with the artist selection and quality of the art. Paul Cutright

I thought the colors could have been a little brighter but I was happy with the product!
Bridge crossing the Savage River at mile 15 of the park road in Denali National Park. This is the farthest point that private vehicles are allowed without a special permit. From this point on it is by foot or concessionary bus. By crossing the Savage River and later on the Teklanika River and heading towards Healy Alaska you can access the Stampede Trail the same trail made a bit more noteworthy because of the book "Into The Wild" by Jon Krakauer and later filmed by director Sean Penn.It tells the story of Chris McCandless who tested his ability to survive in this harsh land and tragically lost his life. This photo was taken late August, Fall was well under way, runoff from melting snow and rain which is frequent for this temperate climate can change this peaceful scene into something much more dangerous for those unprepared or foolhardy.
My body of work ranges from photographic digital art to the more traditional use of a camera photographing scenes of landscapes and everyday life. My photography has its roots going back to my experiences with infrared film. It was there that I saw how an image could be manipulated to something much more different than what was first seen. I still compose some photos from the infrared spectrum only now I use a camera converted to IR. When digital came along it was an easy move to software and all the possibilities that were and are now possible with their use. Still the initial composition in camera is paramount and once the shutter is closed and image transferred to computer, I can turn my imagination loose and enhance or create...

Aptly named. A compelling image that for me invokes the movie title: No Country For Old Men. It just calls out, “You don’t belong here!”
Jim Cook replied:
Thanks Joe! As much as I marveled at the landscapes before me , there was that sense of just being a cautious visitor.

I love the wild, remote feeling of this, as if one has, indeed, reached the end of the road.
