I absolutely love this photo of Hazel. My first visit to the Smoky Mountains was in April 2017. I have been searching for a black bear photo for years and this one stole my heart. This beautiful girl was photographed the same year. I am very pleased with the canvas print!!

Great canvas and framing. A decent shipping time, and EXCEPTIONAL safe packaging. Just an appropriate image for my viewing/listening room. Just took the speaker grills off for this photo.
Artist's Description
Two sandhill cranes were flying in the evening sun looking over the mountains near Bosque del Apache National Wildlife Refuge in New Mexico. Many cranes and snow geese stayed in water overnight to avoid being attacked by coyotes, foxes and other four leg animals. After sunrise they started calling each other louder as if they were deciding on the timing on when they will fly away from the pond at the same time. Then it happened. Thousands of birds flew at the same time! The sound of their wings was very loud. It was probably louder than any other sound I have heard on the street of New York City. But it was nature sound, not artificial sound -- it didn't annoy me at all :) Watching flying birds, especially cranes, make me feel like I want to fly like them - the elegant movement of their wings, high above the mountain, flying in the beautiful New Mexico sky.
About Ellie Teramoto
My photography life started when I was working for a newspaper in New York City in 2005. Back then I was very busy taking pictures of humans and their stories and had no time to visit nature scenes. So my life as a nature photographer started several years later - in the beautiful Lone Star State, Texas. In Texas, I found myself in the middle of stunning wildflower fields, woke up in the mornings hearing beautiful songs of birds, and encountered many wildlife in my backyard and parks. I was captivated by the abundance of nature and started observing and photographing their life, habitats, and environment. After I had a body of work from nature scenes, I wanted people to know about this beauty. My works were on display in a lot of...
