The print is much darker in person. It looks like an underexposed photo and hard to make out any detail on the bottom half of the print. Paper quality is good. Fast shipping.
Artist's Description
Moving on to day 9 of my Australian trip in Queensland
I managed to fit a quick return trip in to the brackish lagoon just outside the Port Douglas, Queensland, City centre.
This small bird is the Comb-crested Jacana (Irediparra gallinacea), aka the Lily Trotter.
It is clear to see how it manages to trot over the Lily plants when you see the sheer size of its feet, which spread the weight.
I particularly like the timing of this shot, with the curtain of water cascading down as he ran along the floating mat of vegetation. He also has a bit of his dinner hanging out of his beak :-)
