I thought about Matthew 6:25-26 when I took this picture of a Northern cardinal perched in a tree on a windy day in February. We all need reassurances in times of worry and anxiety that the Lord is in charge and will care for all our needs. That is what this image is designed to do.


"Do not worry about your life, what you will eat or drink; or about your body, what you will wear. Is not life more important than food, and the body more important than clothes? Look at the birds of the air; they do not sow or reap or store away in barns, and yet your heavenly Father feeds them. Are you not much more valuable than they?" Matthew 6:25-26

I am a retired high school English teacher who loves photographing nature with wild birds as my main interest. I live in southwestern Louisiana and enjoy the plethora of wildlife and waterfowl indigenous to the area; I also love landscape shots of the swamplands and marshes and wetlands of our state.
