In this painting I wanted to give the viewer the feeling of being in the highest air balloon, overlooking the others, floating over a vineyard in Napa Valley, CA. I painted it on illustration board to allow for greater detail(it is very smooth) and I have backed it with foam core board. This painting is currently framed in a beautiful pecan stained frame. If you would like to purchase this painting with this frame, I would need to add $75.00 to the total cost. My first career is that of a registered nurse; after 15 years working as a health professional I decided to become a stay-at-home mom for my two children. Always having been an artist of sorts; prior to nursing school I had been a stained glass artist for many years and have always "dabbled" in creative endeavors. It wasn't until I started taking drawing and painting classes several years ago that I discovered my love for painting, which I have been immersed in ever since. I have sold work while exhibiting in area art shows, restaurants and local galleries. I love nature, the outdoors and the ocean, so a lot of my work reflects that; I also love to inject humor and whimsy into my paintings when the mood strikes me....
