Just what I wanted for a new iPhone. A special “Thank You” to artist ‘Serge Averbukh’ for the addition, at my request, to the design of my Navy rating, the lightening bolts (sparks as they are/were called) in the middle of the CPO insignia. I asked; he came through….When I use my phone, it brings back fond memories of my 20-year Navy career…. Thanks Serge….
Dating back to 1815, the Glen Ferris Inn is a historic landmark nestled on the northern side of the Kanawha River at the top of the Great Falls of the Kanawha River in Glen Ferris, West Virginia.
Originally a private residence, it transitioned into a stagecoach stop and inn on the James River and Kanawha Turnpike in 1839. It has accommodated guests for hundreds of years, operating under various identities, such as the Stockton Tavern, Stockton Inn, and Hawkins Hotel. Its distinguished guests were Presidents John Tyler, Andrew Jackson, Rutherford B. Hayes, and William McKinley, who lodged at the inn with his Union Army soldiers while serving as a lieutenant colonel during the Civil War.
The inn was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1991.
