Just what I wanted for a new iPhone. A special “Thank You” to artist ‘Serge Averbukh’ for the addition, at my request, to the design of my Navy rating, the lightening bolts (sparks as they are/were called) in the middle of the CPO insignia. I asked; he came through….When I use my phone, it brings back fond memories of my 20-year Navy career…. Thanks Serge….
False-colour scanning electron micrograph of crystals of hoar frost, which grow on surfaces during frosty nights of high humidity. The crystals have hexagonal symmetry, as do snowflakes, but instead of growing as a star (dendritic crystals) they grow as a six-sided tube (prismatic crystals). The change of form is due to the temperature during crystal grow; prismatic crystals like this only form at between -5 to -8 degrees Celsius. Magnification: x 15 at 6x4.5cm size.
