Just what I wanted for a new iPhone. A special “Thank You” to artist ‘Serge Averbukh’ for the addition, at my request, to the design of my Navy rating, the lightening bolts (sparks as they are/were called) in the middle of the CPO insignia. I asked; he came through….When I use my phone, it brings back fond memories of my 20-year Navy career…. Thanks Serge….

Uterus (receptive stage). Coloured scanning electron micrograph (SEM) of the endometrium (lining) of the human uterus during the receptive stage of the menstrual cycle. The lining builds up (proliferation) in the first 14 days of the cycle to prepare for pregnancy, an egg is released at the receptive stage when fertilisation occurs, and then the lining becomes secretory to nourish the embryo. If no pregnancy occurs, it breaks down at menstruation after 28 days. Here, secretory epithelial cells and ciliated cells (with hair- like projections) are seen. Magnification: x450 at 7x5cm size. Magnification: x1600 at 10x6.5ins size.
