Just what I wanted for a new iPhone. A special “Thank You” to artist ‘Serge Averbukh’ for the addition, at my request, to the design of my Navy rating, the lightening bolts (sparks as they are/were called) in the middle of the CPO insignia. I asked; he came through….When I use my phone, it brings back fond memories of my 20-year Navy career…. Thanks Serge….

Betterton Beach, Maryland, is a 5-acre landscaped waterfront park located near the mouth of the Sassafras River where it empties into the upper Chesapeake Bay. Betterton was a major Victorian summer resort at the end of the 1800s through the 1940s. Sadly, like so many other Chesapeake Bay beaches, Betterton began to see a decline in tourism following the Depression when the popularity of the automobile and the construction of the Chesapeake Bay Bridge made travel to larger beach towns along the Atlantic coast more readily available. Although Betterton is no longer a booming beach resort, it is still popular among the locals and those who prefer the small, peaceful little beach of Betterton.
