Just what I wanted for a new iPhone. A special “Thank You” to artist ‘Serge Averbukh’ for the addition, at my request, to the design of my Navy rating, the lightening bolts (sparks as they are/were called) in the middle of the CPO insignia. I asked; he came through….When I use my phone, it brings back fond memories of my 20-year Navy career…. Thanks Serge….

While photography has always been a passion, my painting adventure began after visiting a wildlife art exhibition in Melbourne, Australia. Exploring ways to create colorful contemporary images featuring animals, flowers and other elements of nature was a new venture for me. Now I am studying the exciting creation of digital paintings. Having graduated from Melbourne University with a BA(Hons) specialising in international relations, I am interested in portraying the world's exotic species. My aim is to capture their unique personalities and hope they will inspire you to learn more about wildlife and conservation. Images Copyright 2024 Margaret Saheed. All Rights Reserved.

Love the colors in this.... wonderful work!
Margaret Saheed replied:
Thanks, Dorinda. The London Plane Tree colors produce very soft tones.

Lovely photo. These shapes do look like a small flickering flame reaching up into the early morning sky. Yet still reminscent of the London Plane tree, which I got to know well during my long years of living in central London. A very hardy tree, and quite resistant to pollution. But it hides a secret. No-one know how or when it developed, or where it came from as a hybrid only a hundred years or so ago. Although there are conflicting theories, it holds onto its secrets.
Margaret Saheed replied:
Thanks for the comment and interesting information Helen. I noticed them in Collins St in town but haven't photographed those yet.
Maria Rova
Lovely, subtle colours - up close, this one reminds me of staring into a flickering campfire...
Margaret Saheed replied:
Thanks Maria. A very apt description.
