You asked and we answered! We've had many requests over the past months to host a workshop that focuses on the most important component of painting: composition. And who better to teach it than renowned artist, Elaine Hahn? Composition is basically how the various design elements of shape, tones, color, texture and edges are distributed in a painting. Before starting each painting conscious decisions need to be made on subject matter and design elements and how each is presented. We learn best by doing so there will be many exercises and examples of what works and how to make it work. If you want to take your art to the next level, having a clear understanding of composition is essential. Lets refresh our skills and improve our paintings by a review of these elements of design. This will be for every level of artist and all mediums.
