The Age of The Feminine

An exploration of feminine energy and female symbols.

This solo show brings together work created over the last 8 years
by the Brighton-based artist and artistic anthropologist Marga Beuth.

Marga Beuth\'s pieces - beautifully crafted clay sculptures, reliefs and
hand-pulled collagraph prints - are simple, timeless and refined.

A recurring theme of Marga\'s work is a simple almond shape - an
abstract version of the vagina or - more precisely- of the vulva.
And this exhibition is an opportunity to explore The Feminine as a
natural force and to consider your own relationship with the most
feminine part of the body.

The artworks are both evocative and sensual - with appeal to
both women and men. They are designed to create a new relationship
between the viewer and the feminine essence encapsulated in the work,
and to offer the viewer a free space in which to feel liberated from
pre-existing attitudes and taboos.
