Pastel Paintings from Paris and Beyond

Green Door art gallery, 21 N. Gore, St. Louis, MO 63119--Reception Friday, Nov 1, from 5 - 9 p-m Artists Deborah Williams, Michele Wells and Susan Rogers are going to be displaying their pastel paintings from their trip to France. These professional artists prefer to work outdoors, "en plein air" capturing landscapes on
location in natural light. There will be scenes from their stay in Paris as well
as the area known as the Lot department in south-western France. While staying
in Paris they painted in some of the same places the impressionists
planted their feet, Monet's Garden, Arc de Triomphe, sidewalk cafes and the
Paris skyline to mention a few.

After 7 days in Paris they traveled south to the small town of Puy l"Eveque
where they painted world class scenic villages for 10 days. Places such
as the 14th century bastide town of Monpazier as well as the most picturesque
village in France, St. Cirq Lapopie. Exhibit runs thru Dec 28.
