Mosaic Stepping Stone Workshop

In this workshop we will cover the basics of mosaic design, laying patterns, & techniques for using cement based materials. There will be a focus on cutting ceramic with hand tools. Each person will design & create a stepping stone to take home.

The first day is for working on the design and laying the tiles. The second day is for grouting. If your piece isn’t completed the first day, you can watch the grout demonstration & use the remainder of the time to work on your piece. You can then finish the grouting at home.

You will have the opportunity to view many of my own mosaic works & browse my mosaic library for design & additional mosaic inspiration. Feel free to bring your own design ideas and/or broken dishes, tiles, glass or ceramic materials you may have been saving for this purpose!!!

Gila Mosaics Studio is located in Perdido Key, 20-30 minutes drive from downtown Pensacola. Class size is limited to 6 participants. Cost is $150 per person which includes supplies, use of my tools & lunch on Day 1. 

Day 1: 9:00-4:00 Day 2: 10:00-12:00

Workshop Dates: Sat/Sun May 10 & 11 Sat/Sun May 17 & 18
 Wed/Th May 21 & 22 Mon/Tue May 26 & 27

Full payment is required to reserve your spot. If something comes up and you are unable to take the class, I will refund the full price ($150) up to two weeks ahead of time. After that point, I can refund only half of the price ($75). Minimum class size is three.
