Lines into Shapes

Announcing the 17th annual \\\"Lines into Shapes\\\" international juried art show and sale.

There have been some changes!

Award moneys will be distributed to the Categories based partially on participation. If you participate in a large category, your award will be higher this year. There is a guaranteed minimum for categories with fewer participants.

International/Can\\\'t ship? There is an Online competition option. If you would like to participate for category awards, you can designate an entry as \\\"online\\\". These entries will pay a lower entry fee. If accepted, they will NOT be shipped to the gallery. Jury for category awards will be done based on the submitted digital images. If accepted, the work will be displayed on the Art Center website, as part of Lines into Shapes for an extended period (works from 2006 are still on display). For the first year, we will supply an active link to the artist\\\'s website or email address if requested. There will be a cash award in each category. International entries will be accepted. You may use the regular mail to submit these entries. The competition and subsequent display of work will be \\\"online\\\".

The familiar LIS procedures will apply to \\\"In Gallery\\\" entries. For entries designated as \\\"In Gallery\\\", accepted work must be shipped/hand delivered to the Art Center to participate in additional jurying for sponsored awards and to take part in the annual sale. This option is available to artist\\\'s residing in the United States only, who may ship or hand-deliver their work to the Art Center.

Would you like to enter for free? We\\\'re trying to spread the word about \\\"Lines into Shapes\\\". When you use the online entry form, you will be given a promotion code. If you pass that code to a fellow artist who has not been a Lines into Shapes participant, they can use it when they enter and will get a 20% discount on their entry fees. In addition, for each \\\"in Gallery\\\" artist entrant who uses your code, we will refund $5 of your fee to you. We will refund $1 for each \\\"online\\\" entrant who uses your code. You could reduce your own cost to zero (but no lower - sorry).
