Glen Echo Annual Labor Day Art Show

The 43rd Annual Labor Day Art Show at Glen Echo Park will be held in the historic Spanish Ballroom from Saturday, August 31 through Monday, September 2, 2013. Sponsored by the Glen Echo Park Partnership for Arts and Culture, the exhibition and sale will run from 12 p.m. to 6 p.m. each day. Admission is free. A reception on Friday, August 30, from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. is open to the public, and many participating artists are expected to attend.

The exhibition will feature the work of more than 250 artists from the mid-Atlantic region. Many of the artists have a connection to Glen Echo Park, either as instructors or students. The show will include works in a wide range of artistic media, such as sculpture, painting and drawing, ceramics, glass, jewelry, photography, furniture, and works on paper. Most artwork on display will also be offered for sale. This non-juried show includes original works from artists of all ages and skill levels.
