Eclectica an Exhibition by Lyndsey Hatchwell

Having grown up on the edge of a farming community in NZ, I was drawn to nature from an early age. Looking out my front window I could see paddocks full of maize and other crops (which often became a playground!) and further on lush green hills dotted with farm animals and the occasional hawk soaring on a breeze. The local environment was bursting with a huge variety of trees, such as gorgeous Oaks and Sycamores (great for climbing) and every imaginable plant. So began my lifelong love of nature. In this exhibition I hope to bring to you some of my observations ranging from landscapes to flowers - dragonflies to jellyfish and I hope you enjoy them, as much as I enjoy creating them. The exhibition combines the disciplines of painting (both acrylic and oil) and printmaking.
