About the Show: Fine Artists Roxie Johnson and Gilbert Rios share a visual exchange about life, thought and written word. Two Artists; Two Perspectives; Common Ground.

Roxie Johnson incorporates rudimentary printmaking techniques with a variety of water-based and mixed media. The result is a provocative abstract imagery where surface quality dominates and translucency suggests both human consciousness and the passage of time.

Gilbert Rios’ work in Dialog will feature three distinct groups of photographs: “Home" shows how the prosaic becomes art in everyday life; "Hospital” documents, via image and word, the poignant experience of visiting a loved one; and “Dialog” is a playful and imaginative back and forth between two of the most common colors in the visual world.

The Gallery: Nestled in the tiny eclectic town of Tivoli, NY, TAG is a community-based organization dedicated to the artistic growth of 30+ Hudson Valley artists. Rotating monthly exhibits present a delightful diversity both in medium and subject matter. Our gallery attracts as many as 3,500 visitors each year from the nearby Berkshires, New York City, and local surrounding area.
