This all-area artist show at Del Ray Artisans gallery is about defining and depicting the 1% of anything each artist chose in a representational, abstract, or symbolic form in any media (2D/3D). Initially inspired by F. Scott Fitzgerald's novel The Great Gatsby regarding the wealthy 1%, the concept grew to include something overlooked or unnoticed, natural resources, indigenous cultures, achievement of happiness, a grain of sand or a drop of water etc. It could be the 1% of something the artist saw, felt or wished for; or what 1% of something looks like today, yesterday or tomorrow. Come find the 1% that inspires you!

Opening Reception on Friday, September 6 from 7pm-10pm: Chat with the artists in the show and other art appreciators during the reception!

View the Show: September 6-29, 2013 during gallery hours at Del Ray Artisans gallery at the Nicholas A. Colasanto Center, 2704 Mount Vernon Avenue, Alexandria, Virginia 22301. Gallery hours are:

Thursdays, noon to 6pm; Fridays, noon to 9pm; Saturdays, 10am to 9pm; and Sundays, noon to 6pm. The gallery is free, open to the public and handicap accessible.
