Telling Fortunes

Fortune tellers or soothsayers are in just about every culture. One particular fortune teller read my palm once in Taiwan and got very interested about my future prospects once she learned that my father was born in the year of the dragon…when it was learned that I was also born in a dragon year…well, that sealed my fate. That was long ago but I think both my dad and me have been lucky over the years. Can anyone really see into the future? Each time I open a fortune cookie, it’s fun to think it may have meaning…but then I realize it’s a thing that was invented for foreign restaurants…there aren’t even fortune cookies in Chinese restaurants in Asia….
