Splash. 2 Day Multi-Media Art Workshop

I'm really looking forward to my first art workshops which I'll be running at The Copper Beech Art Gallery in Hitchin, Hertfordshire, UK. I'm looking to spread the word because my aim is to hold workshops annually at that venue, and elsewhere in the UK.

Here are the details:

First Splash! workshop:
Dates: Sat 25 and Sun 26 October 2014

Second Splash! workshop:
Dates: Sat 1 and Sun 2 November 2014

Information for both Splash! workshop weekends:
10 am to 5 pm both days

Workshop covers: Still Life Drawing; Watercolour Exercise; Oils Studies; Acrylic and Collage Abstracts

Price : £130 for both days inclusive of all materials used

Booking : A £30 deposit paid to Lynda Cookson's PayPal account will secure your place on the workshop. Please message Lynda for the PayPal email address to use for your deposit.

Tea, coffee and cookies provided
Please arrange your own lunch
(The Wisteria Cafe, on the premises, is highly recommended of course!)

Please wear old clothing!

The aim of this workshop is to stimulate new and established artists with mediums and techniques they may not have used before - or may not have used for a long time. The challenge is to freshen your creative self, free up your style, let go, and have a good time while doing it!

Students will leave after the two days with a charcoal sketch, a watercolour exercise painting, 2 oil painting studies, and an acrylic and mixed media abstract.

You may either contact myself, Lynda Cookson, through The Painter's Palette page or The Copper Beech Art Gallery (and Wisteria Tea Room) in Hitchin, Hertfordshire, UK.

If there's time, in the already well-packed Splash! workshops, we'll have a look at producing some much-collected ACEOs (Art Cards, Editions and Originals). There are a few images of ACEOs on my Facebook Page (http://www.facebook.com/ArtWorkshopsAndCoursesUK) if you'd like to have a look. Mine, of course, are abstract, but many other artists choose fantasy, comic and landscape images for ACEOs. It's up to you to decide what you do!

'Til next time .....
