If Ever

If ever there comes
a chill in the air
look up at the dead
as they twist and they curl
make sure and notice the dancing dark fingers.

If ever there comes
a warm in the breeze
listen to the living
as they rustle and creek
make sure and notice the light sing in shimmers.

If ever there comes
a moment of quiet
be aware of the stillness as the silent are growing
make sure and notice the tree's.
