Good People And Bad People

Good People and Bad People

As we travel through this journey called life our paths cross with any number of people. Some are true blessings in our lives and some are not. Some relationships start off great and turn sour along the way. Most of us have experienced this through out our lives. Running a small business you meet and deal with a lot of people including customers, suppliers, employees and of course government employees.

I believe it is important to try and put the bad experiences behind you and focus on the good experiences. That is not always easy but as much as therapy for me by writing this article and to benefit my readers I would like to tell you in a series of articles about some of the good people in my life. I apologise if I embarrass anyone but I believe good honest everyday people should be singled out as examples for us all.

This article is about a wonderful couple my wife and I are lucky to call our friends. I first met the wife when I bought a business where she was employed as the manager. I later met her husband and watched as together they struggled while he overcame two terrible bouts with cancer. I have witnessed the commitment they have to each other and the willingness they have to help anyone in need. They are both retired now and spend most of their days doing something to help someone they care for. I know they are the last people who would want me to single them out for any kind of recognition. One of the mistakes I have made over my life is not letting someone know how much I appreciate them. I just went this year to two funerals W (JR) Sanford’s and John Whidden’s both wonderful men . Both school teachers who worked for me over the years and both men who always treated me with the greatest of respect. That respect was mutual and I would give anything to sit down with them and tell them how much I thought of them and respected them. Just good people. If this article accomplishes any thing let it compel you to tell someone how much you appreciate having them in your life. You know it is said appreciation is the greatest human want. The reason for that is because it is so rare.

Oh yes and you are probably wondering who the couple is that my wife and I appreciate so much. Well I’ve decided not to tell you because I know in my heart they wouldn’t want me to. They wouldn’t want to be singled out. They will read this and know how much we appreciate and love them. I have to go because I have a lot of people I appreciate and I really do not want to go to another funeral feeling guilty.

Remember APPRECIATION is the greatest human want because it is so rare !!
