Fitness Costs and Benefits

At 55, my body is falling apart. I have MS and Osteo-arthritis. However, I've always believed in fitness and I prefer to focus on the positive. On the positive, the MS means I am not functional in the morning, but now that I'm unable to do my day job, the rest of the day is always mine. Walking is one of the most natural forms of exercise and my wolf-dog, Zorro, and I get out daily to walk at least for an hour. I do take a lot of stupid risks; the only reason being that I prefer to believe "I can". So yesterday, I was crossing a creek on stepping stones, lost my footing and fell in; complete with hiking poles and exposed camera. I'm so lucky I am only suffering from bruises and my hubby came to get me to save me from walking home in freezing wet clothing. The down side is my camera is now sitting in a bowl of rice hoping for recovery. It may not make it, so I may be looking to replace it. I never go walking without it, so that I can capture any sightings that may lead to future paintings. Oh well...

Thanks Rhonda. The dark one is my dog, Zorro, who is half gray wolf and half malamute. He is so wonderful, sensitive and loves our 4 cats. The white one is Kobi and the other Jackson, also part wolf of variable mixes. Kobi is very hyper, the exact opposite of Zorro. My camera didn't survive. I ordered a replacement....

I love this photo! Wolf dogs are awesome; I got to meet someone last summer at a Ren Faire that brought their wolf dog along and she was beautiful. Hopefully your camera dries out and there was no permanent damage. Looking forward to more animal photos :D
