Dont Lose the Joy

This summer I spent sometime shooting pictures at a wetlands that has been preserved for all to enjoy. It is just outside of Danville Illinois. This summer the wetlands were ablaze with water lilies from one end to the other. I enjoyed that so much. I hope I never get to the place that my photography is nothing more than a job to reach a certain goal. I think if we allow ourselves to think of it that way we will lose some of our creative edge and stop trying new things with our cameras. Tending to only shoot what we think will sell our next picture. I love to shoot pictures for the joy I feel at creating something or seeing something that maybe no one else has noticed. A picture that might make someone say, "wow" I never noticed that before. May be encouraging others to look more closely at what is right in front of them. Don't lose the joy of what you do and in the long run you will probably take pictures that are a lot more interesting. Hope you all have a great weekend shooting pictures joyfully.
