I walk every night about 2.5 miles. As I live near a state park, I often see deer run since the farmers are now cutting the fields. Last night, I came across a mother with her fawn...I stopped and didn't move...and the deer came about 25 feet away from me. Great to experience wildlife that close without the aid of a zoo. I am always amazed at the way they run and jump into the treelines and disappear within the camouflage of the trees. As I stood there, I could tell the mother was very suspicious of me...I didn't exactly look like a tree and it was very mesmerizing to watch here turn her head from side to side trying to figure me out.
