I finished a painting and now I’m depressed. It happens every time. One of my favorite artists, Robert Bateman said the same thing. He went on to explain that the only thing that made him feel better was starting on a new piece. I feel exactly the same way. It probably has to do with the dashed hope and expectation of the vision in your head not matching the result on the canvas. I can’t imagine why Robert Bateman would be disappointed by his results! But I always feel I fell short. Most artists I know feel this way too. Oh well on to my next…“Farm Lamb Under a Lemon Sky“…wish me luck.
