Archangel Azrael on the easel

We're currently painting Archangel Azrael - here is our version of the Angel of Death on the easel. Our depiction is a little more approachable than his rep would suggest!
It was fun to paint the wings, getting a nice "feathery" effect, and his hair will be darkened later in a second firing. The light is a little uneven in this photo as it's spot lit to focus on the area being worked, but it gives a good indication and we'll post a full image when it's completed.
