Having served in the U.S. Army, I have a bond with those who also serve.



When the Bosnian conflict was going strong in the 1990’s, I was transferred from a well-trained infantry unit in Fort Riley, Kansas, to Baumholder, Germany. Having missed the deployment by four days, I spent the rest of those days serving my Master Sergeant as his Humvee driver. That memory seems like a lifetime ago.
