Hello all, I checked on some of your fan page, I was impressed by some but under whelmed by some as well.
In my opinion if you try to entice buyers to look at your portfolio, do not just post your FAA thumbnails. Most people like I just don’t bother to click on each tiny thumbnails in order to look at the images. It also helps if you have some descriptions along with the images. It will help the potential buyer stay longer on your page and perhaps even buy it.

@ Alfred I'm sure most of us on here believe we can improve our fan pages, I know I'm still adding images to my FB galleries. Do you have a fan page we can look at for ideas?

Lynn, I saw one which I really like, it was from someone not from Faa. but I didn't book mark her page. I like how she not only post her images but also other artists had inspired her.. I did spent time looked at all her photos.

If you can find it again I'd like to see an effective fan page.

For people who know even less than i do about FACEBOOK PAGES PLEASE READ THIS :
- We MUST LIKE PAGES with our PERSONAL ACCOUNTS to make it count as an actual NUMBER or FAN ! After we can also like it with our page accounts if we want it to show on our page news feed !
- When we like a page, the administrator of that page goes directly to our personal account so we MUST HAVE a VISIBLE LINK there to redirect them to our pages and RETURN THE FAVOUR !

I ALWAYS return the likes but if someoneJUST LIKES my page with their PAGE ACCOUNT i will only return it that same way which means that NEITHER OF US GOT A NEW FAN !

@Greg Jackson Well I am no expert on Facebook, I still get in a right muddle with it much of the time lol, but I think one way to discern a personal page from a fan/business page - a personal page has the option for people to 'friend' you, a fan/business page has the option for people to 'like' you.

That said, there do seem to be some pages with the option to 'follow' but I haven't quite figured those out yet lol :)

Anyone with greater insight regarding the workings of Facebook please do add further info :)

@ Mary Ellen Anderson - Go to your FAA home page, click on 'about' in menu at the top. From the drop down menu click, 'contact us'. And again on that page that opens click on the 'contact us' tab. There you will be able to put your question to the FAA help team and I am sure they will be able to help.

Why do some FB pages not allow you to write on wall? As I go through everyones pages I like to be able to just say hi, was by but every once in awhile theres no wall posting on their page. Is this something that is chosen as a preference by the page owner, and if so what is the reasoning?

Also an FYI, you can replace the FAA logo on your shop cover with your own artwork.

I have a fan page on Facebook under Susan Henke, and in the past when I would click on the FAA icon my images would show up along with the prices etc via FAA, but now when I click on the icon nothing shows up at all. Why? I then tried to go back to FAA and enable the application and it tells me it is already done! HELP!!!!

@Mary Ellen - I believe that is a preference the page owner specifies when setting up their pages.. Whether or not any one can add images, post comments or tag photos...

@Susan Henke - Try going to your FAA home page, click on 'about' in the menu at the top (on the right hand side). In the drop down menu click on 'contact us'. When that page comes up, select the 'Contact Us' tab and you will be able to put your question to the FAA help desk. I am sure they will be able to help you :)

I'm trying to set up my fanpage but none of my FAA images are showing up on the fanpage although the application is clearly there. I want my FAA images to show up on the fan page but not on my personal page where they are showing up. Is there anything I can do to fix this. If you know by any chance. BTW I did like your page!

Hi Jymme, I'm sure if you put your question to the FAA helpdesk they will be able to help you. To contact the helpdesk, go to your FAA home page, click on 'About' in the menu at the top (it's on the right hand side). At the bottom of the drop down menu that appears, click on 'contact us'.

I also had problems setting up the FAA shopping App on my business FB page, but they were able to sort it out for me :) Good luck!

lol Jymme, yes I understand the feeling. I think you may have to delete the app from the page you don't want it showing on, before you can get it to work on your fan page. But please don't take my word for it, I do get in an awful muddle with this type of thing and my memory for what I had to do to get it working is a bit vague. I hope they get back to you soon :)
