I happen to love doing series work. I did my first series by the time I was 8, and have done many many since. Do you like doing series work? If so post a few from a favorite series you have done so we can see!!!

You're welcome. Yes, it's a lot harder on a tablet!
I do a lot of my work in series. Since I do many mediums and styles, I've found it offers some uniformity to have series of work.
Wonder is one series...done in several versions each.
I did a God Particle and Intelligent Design Series
This series is called Magnification:

Great thread Shana -- inspiring art, everyone.
This is a view of the gallery set up for my Self Similarity exhibition last year.(Sept.7-Oct.29)
I created the video as an anchor point for the show -- which consisted of a series of thematic digital prints on canvas -- reflecting aspects of self-similarity in fractal form. Just over 4 minutes in length -- it was run as a continuous loop throughout the duration of the show.
I also created a series of related contemporary abstract acrylic paintings on canvas, and approx. 50 fused art glass works that served as the segue between all the pieces.
The local yoga group that enjoys the gallery space for their weekly sessions said they really loved the ambiance of my show & especially the music track I created as part of my video.

I love working in series! Here are a few from my Music Lovers' series:
There are many more in this ongoing series inspired by music and the human form in my Music Lovers Gallery, here. I am now starting a series of dance-inspired pieces in this style as well. :-)

I am doing series, and have few of them. But I have no idea how to post them in the discussion page. Any help,please?

Ana, go to your full image. At the bottom right you will find "Image Link:", and a box to the right of it with html code. Highlight the code (usually one click on it will highlight the entire code). Then copy via "CTRL + C". Come to the thread and paste via "CTRL + V".
Here's a series I took of a group of teens in a city alley in Baltimore, practicing their skateboarding skills.

Guess I should just separate them by a comma rather than hitting a return. Was wondering how they get to be side by side. Will try that next time.
11 Years Ago
@Karen -- no comma, no return, no space. No separation *at all* -- just paste the next image code in directly after the previous image. Hope this is helpful!
11 Years Ago
@Karen I love your Cats!! Very creative, thank you for sharing!!!
@Wendy, love the colors!!!
This thread has so much interesting work in it!! I just love series work, and it has great collectable value!! Hope some customers will catch on to some of our series work and order some for the holiday season!!!
11 Years Ago
@ Shana -- Thanks! :-)
@ Shaunna -- A series is just several (or more) images that are somehow related: by theme, subject, color, mood . . . whatever you choose. The pieces in a series are sometimes the same size, sometimes not. It's all up to the artist. Having a good look at the work in this thread should explain.
Go for it!

Below - 3D Stereo Crossview - No 3D glasses required but you must be able to converge (cross) your eyes and focus on the middle image that appears...

Awesome work everybody, keep them coming!!!! Its cool to see how many artists have done more than one series, each very different than the one before. It's amazing to see how many different ideas can come from one mind!!!
11 Years Ago
@Joe, if you go to one of your images, scroll down, on the right side near were it lists the main colors of the image, there will be a link, highlight that like, press ctrl C to copy it, then come back here click to write a response then press ctrl V and the link should appear. Push submit and it should show up!!!
@Gene, love your work, I love your use of light and shadows, very lifelike!!

I have recently been doing a social documentary project depicting the outskirts and slums of Izmir, Turkey. The project is related to some recent laws that were passed in Turkey regarding the future of these outskirts and the theme is centered around urban decay and people living in those outskirts, especially children. Although the complete project is on my website, I have uploaded a few to my FAA account as well. Here is some of them;

Here is my Gunther series in the order in which I painted them,,,,,, the last two are not entirely finished yet (I am missing a photo of him as Kramer). Great work everybody!

I've been working on a series of HDR photos of classic American diners. It takes a lot of time, since I'm working with available light. I also try to time it so the diner is closed, that way I don't have cars parked in front. There are quite a few of these in my area, so there's more to come.

Yes, I do serious art. .... ugh, ... oh, ... you wrote "SERIES" (^_^) - Has somebody else already done this joke; I haven't read all the posts in this topic thread.
But seriesly (^_^), folks, yes, I do series art - I cannot avoid it - I can never do just one of anything - what a waste.
Series equates to self-similar, which is how the universe works.

The last one on the top row right is a 3D stereo anaglyph which requires Red/Cyan filtered 3D glasses for viewing depth.
This bottom side-by-side 3D stereo pair "Crossview" uses a different method of freeviewing the format by converging (crossing) the eyes and focusing on the middle image that appears while ignoring the outside. (Not everyone is successful but it becomes easier with practice).

I tend to do them from time to time. I find when I do I am more concentrated for some reason.
Here is my "World Tragedy" Series I have been working on for a few years now.
This is just one of many series I have been working on. I need to focus more in 2013 as far as in segments of series. I tend to accomplish more then.

@Shana - Thanks Shana!
@ Greg - Greg, I took my experimentation a step further. I made a couple of templates that I can use to create the effect more quickly if I want to do more. They are created in PS and saved as PNG files which will let another layer show through the slots.

I have reduced the options and there will not be as many of the same one now.These were taken
from a photo with a texture and was going to only do one but the blue one just would not have that! ;)

For the past couple weeks, I've been creating a series of Fractalius images. I have found that this fractalius effect works for less than 5% of the images I've tried it on and I threw over 95% of them out. Rather than posting them all here, I will post the gallery link and then a few of the images.

Shana I am the only cowboy I know that's been face to face with a gray wolf in the wild, stepped over cotton mouths to get to my best fishing spots and wrecked a Chevy ss at 120 mph and walked away. God has blessed me to have really lived and I hope people see that in my art.
