One member emailed me and asked if she could post her non FAA sales in the recently sold discussion we have going in the group.
so we agreed to start a special discussion to post your non FAA sales as well.
Tell us a bit about them and whether they were commissioned work or otherwise.
Would love to see where members are also promoting their sales, away from faa.
I am sure it will help some of us further sales.
I am posting one here that I sold on Red Bubble, a recent one tat sold as an Iphone case
if you wish to leave AND SHARE a link to where you are selling your art, other than FAA, Please do so :)
I have been using Imagekind.com for several years with a modecom of success. FAA is my secondary site, one where I have a lot of fun besides selling prints. I felt it was worth it to have an additrional outlet. I will admit that I like the price of a PREMIUM account at FAA more than at Imagekind.com, but I still keep my other account because many only shop at that site.
These are the last three images I've sold at Imagekind.com (March 2012 - Aug 2012)
On Zazzle I have these photos with words for greeting cards. The fox was bought for Halloween with words "Trick or Treat" on it and coffee went with a romantic greeting for Valentine's day.
I sell quite a bit on Zazzle - not art prints, though. I like keeping that in just one place if I can - though I have also opened my own gallery in Inverness, Scotland - http://www.facebook.com/galleryhakon - where I sell prints and originals, though mostly bookmarks and greeting cards so far.
a href='http://fineartamerica.com/featured/gladys-serenity-sharon-duguay.html' size='20'> commisioned for a lady who wanted to remember her yard before she moved ..
commisioned for a worker from up north who wanted a painting of trees from where he was
this sold when customer picked up her commisiones painting
I have many others that sold & greeting cards as well
this sold for a 50th birthday gift ...
Excellent idea! After all, most of us are not just about creating our art, but also about selling it...so we can keep creating! The more we share, about anything, the more we benefit. Thanks!
I am excited I sold a print " Blow The Breast Cancer Away"
I have been on FAA for a long time and my sale came from Linkin. I belong to several groups and stay active in discussions with those groups.
From this marketing I also have a company in th UK who I am in the early stages of negotiations to license my art for gift products and fabrics.
It takes a lot of time I spend a couple hours a day working on marketing. But it is begining to pay off.
I SOLD THIS PAINTING AT THE STRANGE FOLK FESTIVAL yesterday in O'Fallon, IL. It is a juried outdoor arts festival that happens every year:. I sell a lot of my art at these outdoor and indoor festivals. I do at least six a year:
I sold my Original Garcia Painting to my neighbor down the street. I post my work to face book and then from there, I do another share posting to their wall with my friends etc..
This way you know that your getting their attention, however I only do it here and there.... I don't want to over load face book walls.
Then, I received a commission work.... from a friend of a friend on face book. Someone that lives near by us and I do know. They just had a baby and I am doing a portrait of her.
So even though they might not buy something at first, they are watching!!!!!! So this promoting does work... :) hope this helps
you guys are incredible...Sales everywhere, thank you for sharing the places where you are selling your art at...it will help a lot of artist promote their work somewhere else
Sold a couple of works over at Imagekind. I think it was cool because I don't have one of their premium accounts and only get three galleries and 10 tags... and no love from placement!
Anyways... here they are from my personal artists website here....
Have sold Downtown Philadelphia many times on Imagekind; it's my most popular image there. I've also sold one iPad case and three iPhone cases with this image on Zazzle.
Sold Lines and Light on FAA for the first time in September. In November it sold on Imagekind.
Have been selling alot of business cards with one of my favorite orchid photos lately in my Sue's Creations Zazzle Store: http://www.zazzle.com/birdersue*
sold on Redbubble, 2 matted prints, 1 greeting card!
1 poster
these were all sold as mounted prints
Greeting card
congrats all,,,, fantastic works!!
I have asked local business to hang some of my work , and have gotten great response. Wonderful promo in reception rooms which hopefully will lead to sales. I am currently working on calendars with my guy, he restores and rebuilds vintage Harleys, so good promo for both of us!
