Clouds over Granada Lake in Mississippi. These clouds were part of the Hurricane Isaac system, but this portion of MS didn't receive heavy rain in comparison to the southern part of the state.
This photo is a black and white version of a photo I took a few years back out in Flagstaff but only recently converted to bw.

This week I picked the prickly pear cactus fruit. The fruit is called by different names like cactus fig, tuna and indian fig. It is a tricky job to get them off the cactus without being stuck.
After I picked them I boiled them for about 4 hours, strained and then returned the juice to the pan, added some sugar and cooked for another hour and whale or a French word "voila" meaning "there it is” JAM. Nothing like i!
After I finished I decided to paint “Grandmas Prickly Pear Jam” just for fun.

Cat Lee, when you go to your image page there is stuff like description, main colors etc about your image on the right side of the page. Under these, you'll find a code (link) to your picture that can be posted in discussions or in any page like FB, Twiter etc. Hope it helps. Looking forward for your pictures here.

If you want to try viewing the 3D stereo crossview format, click HERE.
Not everyone is successful because it requires converging the eyes and focusing on the middle image that appears. The advantage is that no 3D glasses are required to perceive depth. This method is called "freeviewing".

Beautiful images above.
One thing though... it might be just my Internet connection but this thread is becoming too long (heavy) because of a big number and SIZE of images posted.
May I suggest to start a new one and everyone be polite and do not post larger images than usual size?
Thanks for considering my humble opinion.

3D stereo crossview version of the "Loader" above...
To View: Gently converge (cross) your eyes and focus on the middle image that appears while ignoring the outside. Not everyone is successful but if you are, you will see depth. This method becomes easier with each practice and will eventually become 2nd nature.

For the first time in a while, I have decided to put more colour/texture and effects in some of my work, this one had about twenty trials before committing myself to a vast array of wrapped images, partial relief map and light interference patterns. Not sure if I have gone over the top, but looks great in full size.

Here is my latest as of just now. It was an extreme crop and not very sharp. I decided to make it into a smart object and enlarge it a little. I also had to sharpen it quite a bit. I created an Oil Painting Effect via Photoshop to help hide the mentioned flaws. I loved the content so much, that I wanted to try and salvage the image. As an oil effect, it looks ok to me at 100% resolution. What do you think?

My latest experimental graphic processing of my photo. I kept two versions. One is has a slightly transparent background and the other is solid. Since I made the slats further apart than most would have, I thought the transparency would help the cohesiveness of the image but I found if it was too transparent, the openings weren't as effective. As usual, it's difficult for me to select one over the other. I think I should do another version with the slats closer together and solid in-between. ??????

@Val... Go to your image page... there is a URL code at the bottom right in a small rectangular window. Click on the code to highlight it... use "CTRL + C" to copy the highlighted code... come to the discussion thread and paste it with "CTRL + V". (Right clicking does NOT bring up a drop-down menu box with commands).

This is a pano created from combining two images of the same scene together. The pano was not planned, but I noticed I had two shots that could work together.
The structures are scaled-down (I'm guessing 1/5), and built on the person's property.
There's even a water wheel on the far side, obscured in this view. There are ducks, geese, and on this day a Blue Heron in the water...

Here is one from last week at the world Famous Banzai Pipeline. Pretty scary stuff out there. This break is so dangerous that even a few photographers have died shooting it.
There were probably over 100 surfers in the water and almost 30 of them in this photo were trying to get past this swell before they got thrown backwards into the impact zone.

I don't expect many (if any) reading this thread to have the proper Red/Cyan filtered 3D glasses needed to view this anaglyph below but if you do, you should enjoy it!
You can find good inexpensive Red/Cyan filtered 3D glasses online and some places even offer a free pair. I recommend Rainbow Symphony or American Paper Optics.

It was rush hour and I was dashing to a train in guild wars 2 gold New York City's Grand Central Terminal - As I neared the gate, a plump, middle-aged woman sprinted up from behind, lost her footing on the smooth marble floor and guild wars 2 gold slid onto her back. Her momentum carried her close to my shoes. Before I could help her guild wars 2 gold, however, she had scrambled up. Gaining her composure, she winked at me and said, "Do you always have beautiful women failing at your feet?"

This was taken over a year ago, but I just found it in a " forgotten " file on my hard drive. Pretty rare for me as I am not a " wildlife " photographer. I just happened to be at the right place when he walked out into a meadow and too close to me by my car, as he went towards a doe and calf that were just across the road.

This acrylic painting depicts a famous Tudor public house within the historic City of Southampton, UK. This old building was built upon Norman cellars during 1220. It became a pub in 1494. In 1815 the pub was renamed, from the Shipwrights Arms, to the Duke of Wellington, after the victory of the Battle of Waterloo in that year. Painted on a canvas measuring 16" x 20",during 2012.

Took the photo yesterday, posted this and another gardenia image last night. what I am not getting is why
my images no longer get a couple of dozen hits immediately after posting, as they once did, as they go up
immediately on FB and Twitter. I used to count on that jump in views and, if a piece was underperforming,
I would tweet and facebook it again for a spike. The last several images that I've put up take days to get
three or four views. What's up with that, and is it likely to stay that way? If so, I guess I will just consider
myself lucky for racking up nine thousand views before everything ground to a crawl.
SEVERAL attempts later to post the URL of the image, and it won't take - tried a different image, no good either ... what gives?
This one is about a week and a half old, taken sunday before last on a little local cruise boat (think Gilligan's Island). I was quite taken with this stairwell so i took several shots. This one was the best as far as the stairwell itself was concerned, but the porthole was just a big white circle - so I took the view from the porthole out of a different shot and imposed it here.
something funny going on here. Not only still getting question marks in place of the picture when I insert the image URL into message box, it goes all kinds of jumpy and flickering when I hit submit - takes a while to settle down, and it may or MAY NOT have a picture where the question mark previously was.
However, having gone on a bit of a tear trying to insert the same URL into several successive message blanks, and since I can't delete the post itself, I can at least try to put in some different content.
