I have been having great success with the sales of my book, "The Art of Social-Network Marketing." However, I owe its success to the amazingly supportive online community to which I belong. Therefore, in order to say "Thank you for your support," I have decided to release one section of my book in an online text format on its website every week until the entire text is available for FREE! The online version won't have the fancy graphics, illustrations, and charts but the entire text and all its information will be there to aid all who are interested in marketing their artwork, crafts, sculpture, and assorted products. The Print, PDF, Nook, iBook, and Kindle versions will still be available for those who want to have all the bells and whistles but the meat and potatoes will be online for all to view for FREE. I sincerely hope the information aids those who are looking to find their way in this confusing Internet-based marketing arena! Check the site often, and by the way, "Thank you for your support!"

Thank you very much Vivian and Andee!
I sincerely hope the information helps. It will take me a while to get all the sections online due to my time restrictions (I have 2 children under the age of 6) but I plan to have the third section of the book online later this week. I will then try to make a weekly update until the entire text is available online for free. There are no catches or gimmicks, just a genuine hope that others can benefit from the information. Have a great day everyone!

Glad to help! Hopefully you all find the information useful! I will try to post in this thread when new sections are available.

Ken,
Thank you so much. I can wait to start reading your advice. Heaven knows I need it when it comes to social media marking. Very generous of you.

Thanks Marlene and Allen for the support! I am planning to get the third section up on the website later this evening. I think Wednesdays will work the best for me when it comes to posting the book sections. Hopefully each section will provide something to help some aspect of each artist's online promotion! The original text, in print form, is 147 pages long. The HTML web version will be more condensed since each section will have its own webpage and there won't be the charts, graphs, and illustrations to take up space. Enjoy!

Just a quick note to let everyone know that I have uploaded the 3rd segment of my book to the website. It will probably be a week before the 4th is ready though! Have a great week!

Thanks for the kind words Allen! Expect a weekly post until the entire book is online for free. I think there are 40 sections. Some may be more useful than others to different people depending upon their needs.

Thank you everyone!
Thanks Carol! I am glad you found the book to be helpful. The online version won't have the graphics, charts, illustrations, or handy index but the text will be there. I have a long few weeks getting all the sections up. I am still playing around with the navigation but it is okay for now. By the way, thanks for the testimonial you gave for the website!

My pleasure, Ken. :) I like all the charts and illustrations in the book and am glad to have my hard copy. Good luck with getting all the sections online.

Thank you Carol! I appreciate your kind support. I have a lot of sections to add online over the coming weeks. Hopefully it doesn't cut into my painting time too much!

Glad to help. I hope you find the information useful.
I have been having trouble lately with the server that is hosting the site so it may eventually move. For now it is working fine but if you experience an outage, it usually comes back within a couple hours.
Best of luck,
Ken

Thanks Andee for the bump on this! I somehow missed it the first time around. And a belated thanks to Ken for sharing this!

Great info for all but in case you have not read this or you are new, there are some really great tips.

Thanks for spreading the word Andee!
Sunday April 7, 2013 I was forced to move the website to a new server due to Comcast's failure to support their free Personal Web Pages (they are going away and Comcast is not offering them to new customers). Funny thing is, as soon as the new server space was being created, the new host (GoDaddy) went down for 6 hours. My main art site was also on the fritz for the same amount of time. I apologize for the inconvenience but the book site is now up and running again and the free version of the book is at its usual URL:

What I need is "step by baby step" instructions for setting up and using facebook. I'm totally disinterested in my relatives and several of my friends from being friended - but would be interested in having a use for it as a selling tool.

Ken, many thanks for posting this. I was sort of doing most of the activities, but reading your guide has made me realise that I need to be more coordinated with it all. So a BIG thank you :-)

Roy - A step by step guide would be great but I have found that Facebook changes so often that it would be tough to keep it accurate. Things changed drastically the month after I wrote the book and the previous year Facebook was continuing to mutate so decided to keep it vague.
Stuart - I am glad you found the information helpful. One of these days I am going to have to do a revised version.

I just bought the Hard copy Version.....I haven't yet weened myself off of actual ink on actual paper.

Thanks Roger. I know that the free digital version doesn't appeal to some people. Others prefer the versions for ebook readers or PDFs. The print versions of books are still my favorites though. I am slowly beginning to accept that more and more people enjoy the e-readers and I am starting to give those a chance for my personal reading as well. It is a tough change to make!

Hopefully you find the information useful. Some of it is a bit out of date since many of the Social Media Services change their functionality from time to time. Overall, the information and system are still valuable though.
