Paper For Black & White Print.

I want to order Mel Steinhauer's On the Oregon Trail in black & white. Can someone tell me which paper I should order and why? Definitely not glossy for a rustic looking picture in a barn lumber frame. And do I need to put glass over it?

Perhaps contact Mel for his personal recommendation. ;)

I've ordered rag prints of mine that look fantastic out of the frame but I image that under glass I might not be able to tell the difference between it and the standard paper.

If you order a frame from here it will come with acrylic I believe.

Either way, you should have something between the air and the print for protection. Unless you order a canvas print (metal would be high gloss).

There are two modes of thought concerning the glass. It is there to protect the picture from pollutants, ie aerosols or someone inadvertently using Pledge to clean it. However, one can use a varnish spray like Art Print Shield to protect it and not use glass. This is how I frame and present my signed photographs. I suggest a local framer if you want that photographic presentation or purchase a metal or plexiglass print.

Thank you for the tip. That helps. It's very surprising that when I called customer service the girl could not give me that tip.
