Congratulations! I absolutely loved the Jeep ad when I saw it while watching the Super Bowl. I thought it was one of the best. So cool your photo was a part of it, and even more.

The ad company sent me a raw cut a couple of weeks ago but only told me not to mention it to anyone. They had a password to access the clip. They did not tell me that it was going to be a Super Bowl Ad! (I haven't even gotten the check yet.) To be honest, I thought it might not be ready for the Super Bowl. Because I had been sent the "Raw cut", I recognized the ad right away and watched it to see, sure enough, it was there... all 1.4 seconds of it. I felt I was lucky because some of the other images were on for a much shorter time. lol

@ Rich Franco - I've licensed images several times to ad agencies and have one pending now. This is the first one however that was for a TV commercial so I went by what the ad company told me was the "normal" fee. It was about 5 times what the other license payments were. I signed for the most money I've ever made for an image and that gave them the right to use it for a year. If they extend into next year I should get a second check for the same amount.

What neither the ad agency nor I expected was how much their client liked my image. They sent me an addendum, saying they may want to use my print separately. I don't think I will get any more money however because of the contract. They said, "We hope you're as excited as we are". Well, I would be if I get paid additional for it. Well see how all that turns out. I'm still thrilled. Each year I've done better with my work and hope that trend continues. I spend a lot of time on it. :)

@Dan Turner - The USA Today paper had all the individual images of the ad on the full front page spread. On the back side was also a full page with several "Jeep stories", and the entire commercial voice-over in text.

It was nice of my financial company, "Prostatis Financial Advisors Group", to mention my image being in the Super Bowl ad with today's release of, "The Savvy Investor Weekly Newsletter - Issue 305". They included it as a sideline they call, "On A Lighter Note" (bottom left of the news letter). They included a video link to the ad on YouTube...

A few days before the Super Bowl I had a tax appointment with my financial planner and owner of the company, Mike Canet. I brought a color picture of the Jeep to show him and mentioned it was going to be in a commercial ad. At the time I had not been told it would premier as a Super Bowl ad. I thought they would need more time to finish producing the commercial. Mike said to me, "Wouldn't it be cool if it was part of the Super Bowl ads?", to which I replied, "Yeah, but I doubt they would even have time to finalize it by then". He said, "You're probably right".

When I viewed the add after the half-time show, I hopped on the computer to send out some notices about it and before I could contact him, he sent me a text from his iPhone...
