Again, not much at all expected here in ski country. We'll probably get a dusting. Haven't been skiing at all this year. My son's cross country team season has basically been cancelled. Luckily this past weds they managed to have a race at a spot in Vermont that had a snow pocket. I nearly lost the car in the mud driving over to see the race.
Maple syrup season is going to be early this year I imagine.
I am in southeastern Massachusetts, and snow began here around 7 a.m. Before that, it was pouring.
School is cancelled here so you know they are expecting slippery road conditions. I hear this is a fast moving storm that could dump 1 to 2 inches every hour but be out of here by 3 p.m.
This is all going to melt by five pm. It is 33 degrees here as of now. The temp will be getting up to 36 by one or two pm.
None of it will last long. It looks like it is very heavy snow. Water.
Lucky you guys, We are a having horrible ski season here, not enough snow, making snow with the machine, how much or how good?
It is sort of sunny here. I would like to see some variety of weather not just boring same weather.
The sun is supposed to be out here just before sundown, five pm.
Skiing in man made stuff at the end of the year is much more risky. Most of the broken bones happen at the end of the season. When rocks start to poke up.
The Yahoo weather for Avon is now saying one to three inches, we are at three inches pretty much already. The snow is not falling as fast now.
Tomorrow the temp is supposed to be 41 degrees.
Well it stopped snowing here, but the temp dropped to 30 degrees. And the upper temp for the day has been dropped to 32 degrees for the Farmington Valley where I live and 34 for Hartford.
So while everything is dripping off my roof currently, things are going to freeze over.
Few flurries and cold, but refreshing. Just came back from Ithaca common, Cup of coffee taste so good when its cold like this.
I am wearing long insulated jacket with hood, I could stay out longer but I had a company who didn't prepare and didn't like the cold weather.
Here in warm sunny Colorado all that snow we got earlier in the week is finally starting to melt off. Glad you all are enjoying the snowstorm we sent you! LOL
You can usually tell the ones who live in the north when talking about snow. They usually seem to gleefully welcome it, without complaining about it, as we do here. :)
Once the primaries in New Hampshire are over it will start to snow. There is so much hot air being spewed out up there that it's warming the air and screwing up the winter snowfalls.
