Limited Time Promotions Shared On Facebook

I just created a Limited Time Promotion (which I haven`t done in a long time) and clicked on the promotional page and shared on Facebook. The amounts differ from the promotional page and the amount showing to my Facebook audience. I have since deleted it off fb and checked Twitter. The share on Twitter, which went through fb, is of the promotional page and not what it says is the price per print when I created the timed promotion... anyone else having this problem?.... is this a bug?

If you "just" created it and shared it immediately, there should be no discrepancy. I create and share one every Friday so I just checked my most recent on FB - it's just what I would have expected. HOWEVER, I "share" by copying the promotion link from my browser window and then pasting that into FB. I have not tried sharing through the FAA FB link. Is that what you are doing? (There still should be NO difference, but there are a number of troublesome anomalies in the LTP set-up).

I'm sure you realize this as it's very clear when you create a LTP, but just in case . . . there is a base price that your mark-up is added to. That final figure is the cost that will be shared if you share the link to the promotion.

Thanks for your response Nikolyn. I just tried using the FB share button... will try copy and paste...however, there should`t be a difference. If I were to share via the FB share button and a potential customer clicked on the link after seeing one price, they would see a much higher price on the promotional page. Very confusing for customers as well as myself.

Nikolyn, I tried your method of copy and paste.. the price showing was the original one when I made the promotion, but when clicking on the link on the FB page, the promotional page came up with a much higher price.... there`s something going on here...

I just created a new LTP and immediately posted it on FB. The promotional price listed on FB correctly and when I clicked the link it was also the correct price. So I deleted it and waited. Then I listed it with a screenshot of the promotion instead of letting the link grab the image and I got the same results.

The I tried sharing it directly from FAA to one of my FB pages and the price matches both on FB and when I click the link.

Sharon can you post a link to your FB page?

I have had to delete an LTP, then add a new one. I have found that editing an existing LTP by changing the photo screws things up.

Is your currency set correctly? I see 188 on fb and when I open the LTP it is 262 Canadian. That would be about right if the 188 was in US funds.

Barbara, why would it be different?... and how do I set my currency? I just checked and the US to Canadian is right on... so, if someone in the US clicked on the link, they`s see it in US currency?..
I found it... things are good... thanks Barbara!
