Supporting Script-based Slide Shows?

In the left sidebar on my homepage I wish to include a small slideshow. The slideshow I was previously using requires a script. The sidebar supports many html elements but it does not support the <script> element. <br> <br>Is there a place on the site where I might be able to insert a script tag that will be available for my slideshow to use - or, failing that - is there a way of inserting a scriptless sideshow?
