Decor Simulators

I'm trying to use environment simulations, so I can suggest the use of some of my works.
Many sites available for this purpose. Here I used the service provided by a famous ink brand.

https://www.suvinil.com.br/SimuladorV2/

I've concluded that if you organize and optimize your time, with few resources you can produce interesting things that can help. It's very subjective to say that those details will make any difference, but I intend to improve the feature. In fact, it would be an interesting tip for FAA staff to implement it here on the site in the future as well.

I do not know if anyone here already uses something similar. Anyway, just another hand in the marketing which may be useful.

i think it might confuse some, thinking that was art itself or the like. we do have something like that already though - the faa software for phones can place any art in any home.

though the image you shown here, i wouldn't use that background, its distracts from the art.

I think it's a good idea.
There are a lot of people who have trouble imagining how things will look if they can't see them. This could help.

If the buyer has to click a link that says something like: "See how the art you choose looks in a room," plus a very short tutorial, I don't think most people would be confused.

I suppose the program could give the buyer the option of different color choices for walls, and various choices for furnished rooms - or a way to upload an i-phone photo of the buyer's own room + the ability to drop & drag a painting onto the photograph.

Doesn't FAA already have an app that does that?

Leonardo, would you share a link to the app/software that you used? I like what you're showing there.

Mike, thanks for your opinion, friend. You can add or remove any item as you want (and a couple of things more that you can to do) and try to do the best environment, perhaps even managing to put the picture in evidence. In fact, the idea would be that!

Cheryl, exactly that!

David, as far as I know it doesn't have.

Cynthia, of course yes! https://www.suvinil.com.br/SimuladorV2/
I realized that there are many similar options available on the Internet, but I still did not research much about it. I'm still checking what is possible.

Leonardo,

I have been watching architectural interior designers for a couple of months now. The detail of your image, the chair in particular, is
well beyond what many of them are doing. Most of their stuff is clunky. Possibly done with furniture they design that is not detailed much
instead of the program you are linking where things are defined and plug and play.

I have too much work right now to delve into this, but it is definitely on my radar. Thanks for the link.

Leonardo,

The site is in Spanish, can we see it changed to English? Is there a button somewhere?

Addition what are the copyright rules for this? Can I use one of these images with my art elsewhere online? With
no copyright problems? Most of the work is their material.

A couple of good questions, David.

Regarding the translation, I also tried to translate it into English but I can not find an option there. In fact the original version is in Portuguese (it's a bit like the Spanish, maybe a little more complex, very complex!) and according to what I saw, there are many similar mechanisms available and suddenly even better in other languages.

Copyright, I'm not sure. In fact, that's a good question. Anyway, on the site there are a button to share your setups directly through social media, save as image on your desktop, which presupposes that there is no problem with that. The point is that as long as you manipulated the final image to add your art there, it puts me a question. As I said, I'm still researching a little more respect and I'll check it better.

If someone finds a better option before me (until FAA implement its own :), perhaps a more sophisticated mechanism, simpler to use and preferably without copyright issues, please let us know!

I was inspired by this, I just went and purchased a handful of empty room images from a stock company and put one of my framed artworks (thanks for the images with frames, FAA) in each one. I added them all to my twitter lineup to go out this week.

Thanks for the idea!

Suggestions on stock companies anyone?

Cynthia, nice! You are welcome! Glad to see it be useful and inspiring a very interesting alternative.
I will follow the end result there in your timeline.

Melissa, Dreamstime.

Leonardo, great idea and marketing tool! I looked on stock companies recently for rooms to display my art (not Dreamstime unfortunately, will make a mental note!) but woefully there were hardly any images at all and almost no contemporary rooms to speak of much less the eclectic/industrial look I was aiming for.

Did you say we can use it on our Facebook or Twitter page? I couldn't copy to Google translate so will need to type it in so I can understand what to do.

Many people do not have the art talent gene and are clueless as to what a great artwork (like yours) will look like on a wall. The only way those people (or even us, it's just that we are always looking!) can know is to see it somewhere and duplicate the look and placement. Visuals are so important in our business. They need a stimulation at some point to click on your gallery, so might as well give it to them!

Cynthia, Thanks for the reference! Did you take a screen shot of the image with the frame and replaced the image with your file downsized for the web?

I like the idea of a picture frame that looks like a window.

Suzanne, yes, sometimes just imagine is not enough. And thanks for the compliment!

Well, yes, you can send it directly to twitter or facebook (there are some small icons up there on the toolbar) but it is easier to save the image on your computer (where it says "Salvar Ambiente") and editing it by positioning your art manually wherever you want. Just sharing will not take your art with it.

Since we find images that serve us, Cynthia idea is very interesting. You could even get a final image in higher resolution, with a much better quality. My example will give you just 800 x 500px, which in my view is a little small.

Travel Pics, me too! ;)

There are several people on FAA using "environment simulations" or something like that. I see them quit often in fact but I don't remember who they are off the top on my head.

I can go look for those people but not sure they would appreciate being named. Maybe I will send the email of this thread and they can stop by and share if they have a mind to.

I would be very interested in this if they were reporting any kind of decent sales levels for their images they used the feature on.

Everyone seems to be doing that, other retails sites that is. I would have to think that Sean has at least given it some thought. Maybe Abbie can shed some light on the subject.

Here is what one person is doing. I hope Angelina does not mind me sharing. Anyone think this is out of line? I will take it down.

It's well a well documented fact that everyones color memory sucks. So whether you are good at it or not the odds are that your memory of any color is off. Ever taken one of those color tests that has a grey spot of color surrounded by other colors. The grey will look green in one grouping, pink in another, etc. Color is relational, every color is visually percieved and changed by the colors nearby.

Albers experimented with colors extensively years ago.

I find these decor thoughts only minimally helpful personally. If you are doing decorative imagery with the, "interior design" of primary importance not the art so much but matching the couch/decor, yes.
