Hi Brynn. Interesting question, "What makes a good blog?"

Some people like to read blogs about you, the artist. They want to know how and/or why you produce your art. Others want to read blogs about life in general.

I follow one artist's blog because she talks about her life in an inspirational/spiritual way. Sometimes it's about her art sometimes not. I enjoyed one this morning that outlined a photographer's day and how he went about capturing his pictures.

If no one else is starting with quotes and you do that then you will have a unique style and that may attract people to your site just to read your blogs!

It will be interesting to see what other opinions you get on this subject.

Open, written as thought you are talking to the person reading it. Honest and not full of advertising.

I only advertise my art. There is nothing wrong with that. People who are designers might take to the blog.
I do not know yet. Personally it is not about me. I limit what I say. I show the image with a blurb.

Remember you can automate the process of posting through WP.com. This can lessen the load of covering a few SM outlets.
So your reach is beyond just the blog.

I used to write a lot on my blog.... but I have gotten busy... and haven't been lately.

anything you think is interesting. because you'll have to update it daily to keep people there. if you write about something boring, you'll lose interest. i'm still deciding on what blog i want to make and how to make it well.
