Howdy Partner More Cow/bull Ideas Needed

Happy holidays everyone! I hang my big show in a few days more than 30 paintings including my new bovine series here. I want to take time off from painting but if the cow things take off I will feel compelled to work and get more bovine ideas out there since I have till the end of January to hang there. So would love to hear even more thoughts and will use this thread to go back to as I extend this series. Thanks to everyone that contributes :) Photography Prints Sell Art Online Sell Art Online Sell Art Online Art Prints

i keep going back to bull loney, but i'm not sure what the picture would be... other than a rather long cylindrical cow.

then there is steerage class, which is the cheap seats of a plane. which you can fill with cows.

and the steering contest where they are staring.

and for no better reason you can steal from charlottes web and have the spider spell out - some cow. but i don't know how well that would fit in.

i still like my cow pie idea.

Mike ,I just love love the steering contest and the charlottes web idea is great also I already wrote them on my cow list since you posted them. Thanks :)

then there is mooore's law, where a chip doubles in speed every 18 months. only its the cows the are multiplying? not sure how that would look though and only geeks would get it.

i liked that cowpuncher word in there, conjures up ideas - him fighting in a boxing match, or someone punching it.

More cowbell!

I don't know if you have ever seen this SNL skit but it's pretty epic.

Doing a cow depiction of this skit...would be awesome. =D

Do not ask me why it looks as if the second link is the same as the first - it's not. It's words with bull in them.

Cow Hide, cows playing hide and seek. Cow Catcher, baseball or another sporting one with a team of Bulls either playing or posing for a team 'photograph'. Is the name 'Bulls' used for different sports? The Running of the Bulls, a race.

Without getting too graphic, my funniest cow experience happened when the BF and I were doing what comes naturally in the hills behind Berkeley. It was a beautiful, sunny day and no one was around. In the midst of our festivities, we got that creepy feeling that someone was watching. We looked up to see that a herd of Holsteins had crept up on us and were standing frozen in a circle close around us, all staring with their eyes bugged out and jaws dropped. Poor things didn't know what to make of the spectacle before them but they were clearly concerned, fascinated, frightened and appalled.

I love cow puncher Mike, Great list of ideas Angel, great image Ronald and thanks, Funny story Kathleen. I like those ideas also Barbara and Louise especially cow hide which I think someone mentioned in my last thread and it's on my list. I am going to use this thread for a while to keep getting ideas and referring to it. Love the ideas keep them coming :)

Cowardice - a cow afraid of something.... maybe cold hands?

cowberries (is a ligdon berry i looked it up), and well i guess it would be more fitting for a bull, but i'm not sure how it would be painted up

Cowbirds - a bird that follows cows and lays eggs in other nests... but i guess you can switch out the bird for a cow in some way. hard to know how many would get the joke though.

I didn't see any cow pies. Or bullshait. Just sayin',
How about a political bull at a podium with rwb bunting, microphone, campaign slogans, and a pile behind him. Perhaps Trump-like hair?
or perhaps a corresponding figure in a pants-suit.

Bull-y Pulpit (a bull dressed as a preacher behind a pulpit)
Bull in a China Shop (a bull dressed like a Jane Austen character either selling china or examining china in a shop)
A cock-and-bull story (depends on how x-rated you want to be - wink, wink, nudge, nudge)
The Amoosement Park (this could be a whole series of cows riding Ferris wheels, merry-go-rounds, playing carnival games, riding carnival rides, or a large piece with several scenes) (or you could start a whole new series with moose!)
Mooving Day (a moving truck being loaded by cows or a cow dressed as a housewife packing up moving crates)

Great Ideas again all, keep em coming. At this rate I'll be painting cows for years lol

wasn't there an 80s expression who beefed? for a fart reference?

and of course where's the beef. (maybe hiding behind a tree)

lol, where's the beef, I like that one

while it was originally said by wendy's back in the 80's. the joke was beaten into the ground, but i still see it here and there, and its of the right generation to have money and remember it.

"Udder Joy"

Yes I remember it well Mike, I used to work at Wendy's in the 80's and us employees got really sick of customers repeatedly saying it to us lol, I like udder joy David

Mike Savad

i wonder if you took that angle instead. either the cow is in line at a wendy's or a wendy parody to be safe. or the cow can be the cashier and i suppose if the human said it, there could be that one wise guy cow pointing at the other one.

I've always wished this guy had more of a crossed legs/cross-eyed expression look:

Photography Prints

Ah Yes that's it! A Wendy's parody with a cow as the cashier ,maybe just this one time I would use a cartoon bubble saying where's the beef from the human customer and the cow looking angry, what do you think?

Mike Savad

maybe, i would think from a wendy's point of view it would have the look you just described - like that old joke eye roll annoyance. and the cow next to him and the others just pointing at him.

how about.... canni-bull

then you can have him eating a burger. with maybe the 3 cows behind him in the see no evil pose...

or you could do the hannibal route and muzzle him.

Or maybe an underweight bull suffering from "bullimia"

Canni-bull with the hanibul muzzle very funny and a good one. I don't think I should go there David that is a very sensitive subject. Sounds funny that bullemia would be too sensitive but a cannibull wouldn't lol

bull dog.... i'm not sure what it could be, but it seems like it should be.

and the variations like bull terrier, bull mastif and the like. then you get dog lovers in there.

that's no bull. i guess a cow with taped up udders and a horn on her head?

bull-dozer

chicken bullion ?

or i guess beef bull-ion makes more sense in this context

not sure if you want to use the bull in political satire, but if you do, here's a possible train of thought:

to the piece "bull shitter", add an embroidered congressional seal to the undershorts and make the toilet paper roll a subtle US constitution motif.

When I think of America's top bs -ers, I must say Congress (both sides of the isle) is near top of mind for me...

If you want to make it pointed in either direction, the bull could be reading a left or right leaning rag like Guns and Ammo or The New York Times (or even more provocative titles).

...or reading a more middle of the road book with a title like: "How Bullshit Becomes Law" or "How to Fake it 'Till You Make It" or "Leadership for Bullies" or "About Your Cadillac Plan" or "How to Bullshit a Bullshitter" or "Congressional Oversight Explained" or...

...endless series possibilities
