Free Shipping Extended

I was just about to delete my promotions! Instead I edited the date! Thank you, Sean!

I know. I'd checked out and was doing other things but stayed up to do the same. Thought I was seeing something so I checked out and in about three times before I posted LOL

I suspected things went well today ... yes thank you Sean and Pixels for caring about us artists, and helping our customers find what might be a nice gift for those they care about ... with free shipping!!

LOL... okay, well, after telling everyone "today only," this feels like a mixed message to send out to my followers, but I'll ponder how to say that in the morning. Glad I saw this before I removed the message from my AW.:-)

As far as you knew, Mark, it was today only. I think people will be pleased, rather than to think you are anything less than a man of your word. I saw your post about the initial special--you let them know it was FAA offering the deal, not anything you could control, add, or alter. :)

P.S. You could always go for the easy Star Wars joke about Sean not altering the deal any further. ;)

Mark you just say free shipping has been extended for one more day. I did not do anything to my banner since the few sales I get do not come through the AW. But I did add a post to the FB post that the site owner extended the free shipping one more day.

I'm getting ready to edit my promotions, too.

Two Christmas card sales (boxes!) today for me and the buyer told me she ordered today because of the free shipping.

Small Business Saturday here we come. :)

My husband gets notices from FAA and only received the notice for yesterday this morning. I'm glad it was extended, but wish the notices go out a little sooner for the customer and for us to promote. Thanks so much, not complaining just a suggestion. Thank you for all you do!

Woohoo ... I finally found the email address of the lady who contacted me about the giant print she wanted, but didn't want to pay the huge shipping ... crossing fingers that she's still interested!!!

Lois, sell it to her rolled in a tube, assuming it is canvas.

I have done that plenty of times and I have also looked for and a found a framer in the buyers area that would stretch it for the buyer and shipped it directly to the frame shop.

The buyer buy she canvas for less because it is not stretched and also saves on the shipping. That usually more then pays for the stretching on the other end.

If it is paper, same thing.

Yup, trying to convey a sense of urgency... buy it now, limited time offer! Or "before this specail offers expires".... that sort of thing.

Hard to get them all on the same page. Plus subsidising shipping is going to mess with margins. A business to be considered a viable business has to maintain proper margins.

In a sense what asking for free shipping at no additional cost to the sellers is asking Sean to become a discount house and mess with his margins. It will remain to be seen if he thinks that is a viable option.

Everyone has skin in the game including suppliers. If they make more money, FAA makes more money and artists sell more stuff and make more then its a win win win if there is at least occasional free shipping that takes a little out of everyone's margin.
