Visitors To My Site

Does anyone know why I can see multiple visits to many of my pictures at the same minute from the same city? And it is over and over, it happened 7 times so far today, on lots of different pictures. Does FAA have a computer do that to make it look like my visitor count is a lot more than it is?

They are bots...You want them. It means you are being indexed.

In other words it is sites like Google coming to take a look at your images. They do seem to look at thing over and over and over.

Ok, thanks, I was wondering what was happening. All of these visitors and no sales yet. I've been on here about 2 weeks and have had almost 1,200 visits.

you'll have far more visitors than sales. 2 weeks isn't that much and 1200views isn't that much overall. especially with a 178 pictures. be sure your advertising it. bots come all the time. even collectors might view it others may browse. be sure to start people in galleries.

What do you mean by start people in galleries? I love your version of the night before Christmas, very funny.

when people visit your page they see images first, that should be set in defaults to gallery mode, so its not just a sea of pictures. also, be sure to give credit to all the people who made those statues. there have been people were contacted to remove those images because they didn't share credit with the copyright holder of the statue (the person that made it), chihuli on the other hands i think sues those that shoots the glass stuff. so just beware of that.

Ok, thanks for letting me know that's out the galleries. And I had no idea that I couldn't photograph exhibits like that. I will check it out.

Unfortunately bots don't buy anything but they do index your images so they can be found.

Chasing views is a losing proposition.

Way over half of the views are bots (Google bots and web crawlers) and half of what are left are views form FAA members that buy very, very little.

You need to do the best you can with keywords and descriptions that include a lot of keywords and or searchable phrases. After that you need to forget about the views, likes, favorites, contest and groups and advertise as much as you can outside of FAA.

Thanks so much for everyone's help here.
So do you feel like selling your art at this site is worth the time that you put into it? I'm just curious cause I know some of you have been on here a few years
